Theoretical and Practical Knowledge of Rope Access:
Theoretical Knowledge of Rope Access: Gain comprehensive knowledge of rope access principles, focusing on the safe use of equipment and techniques. This includes a thorough understanding of risk assessments and method statements to ensure safety and compliance.
Rigging Techniques and Knots: Develop a solid understanding and practical application of essential rigging techniques and the appropriate use of knots, crucial for various rope access tasks.
Rope Access Manoeuvres: Learn to safely execute a wide range of rope access manoeuvres, ensuring efficiency and safety in diverse working environments.
Climbing and Fall Arrest Techniques: Master the skills of climbing on structures using advanced work positioning and fall arrest techniques to prevent accidents and ensure worker safety.
Rescue Operations: Acquire the expertise to conduct rescues of incapacitated rope access workers, bringing them safely to ground level with proficiency and care.
This comprehensive training ensures that all participants are equipped with the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to excel in rope access operations while prioritizing safety and efficiency.
Course Duration:
6 Days
Audience:
For experience level 2 technicians wishing to progress within the IRATA scheme.
Course Aim:
IRATA Level 3 rope access training will enable you to be capable of site supervision for rope access work projects.
To demonstrate advanced rescue and rigging techniques along with knowledge of relevant legislation, work techniques and equipment use and limitations.
Course Instructor:
The course is run by renowned IRATA level 3T trainers with vast experience of running courses worldwide.
Pre-training requirements:
IRATA Level 2 with a minimum of 1000 logged hours and 12 months experience, Medical Questionnaire, First Aid Certificate.

Period of valid certification:
3 years
Assessment:
The course is assessed on day six by an independent IRATA assessor.
This course is designed and delivered using BS8454 (code of practice for the delivery of training and education for work at height and rescue), IRATA international code of practice and equipment manufacturers technical instructions.
